The Ile d'Oleron is the largest island of the Atlantic coast. So, during your camping holiday in the Charente, take the chance to explore this 30 km and 6 km wide island. Like its neighbor, the Ile de Ré, Oléron Island has a rugged charm and outdated. It offers forests, landscapes of marshes and beaches of sand at the foot of the dunes, including four municipalities classified blue flag.

The villages of the island are composed of white houses surrounded by mimosas, oleanders and tamarisks while windmills rise sometimes above the countryside.
