Micropolis, a museum to visit during your holidays on a campsite in the regionGorges du Tarn

With huge spaces of high plateaux and cliffs, the area of the Tarn Gorges is a region of disproportionate dimensions. Yet it is also the realm of the infinitely small. Indeed, the region is one of Europe's richest area considering insects species. This is why that's where was filmed "Microcosmos". Following the success of the film, a museum was tbuilt in St. Léons, a few kilometers from Millau and the Tarn Gorges campsites, a museum dedicated to insects, Micropolis.

This museum, which is both fun and educational, immerses visitors in the insect world by presenting the different existing species, their life, their natural environment, etc.. However, one of the most popular rooms is where you find yourself immersed in a gigantic universe that lets you see the world through the eyes of insects. With its modern and playful scenography, Micropolis appeal to both small and large. This is the ideal tour for the whole family during a holiday rainy day ( which never happens in southern France ).
